What a treasure, this book: The Archaeology of Kythera. Recently published (2015) and a musthave, if you are interested in the history of Kythera. The author Lita Tzortopoulo-Gregory is Kythirian and an archaeologist. She wrote the book together with her husband, an American historian and scholar. The book is about more than just archaeological finds. It covers the whole period from prehistory until the modern times and is full of interesting background information.
